49 major roads in Lancashire that are closed as lockdown eases

Written by on June 1, 2020

From today (June 1), groups of up to six people can meet in private gardens as part of the next stage of relaxing lockdown rules.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Boris Johnson, with the meet ups allowed “provided those from different households continue to stick to social distancing rules” by staying two metres apart.

He said: “I cannot and will not throw away all the gains we’ve made together and so the changes we’re making are limited and cautious.

“It’s thanks to the caution you’ve shown so far that all five [coronavirus targets] met being met.”
