New death figures for Lancashire hospitals as UK toll rises to 41,279

Three more coronavirus deaths have been recorded across Lancashire hospital trusts, according to today’s NHS figures.
One patient died at East Lancashire Hospitals on June 7.
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, which manages Preston and Chorley hospitals, recorded one death on June 6.
University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust’s death toll increase by one after one patient died on June 9.
No deaths were recorded Blackpool Teaching Hospitals and Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals
It brings the Lancashire hospitals death toll to 935.
The figures which are released each day often include previously uncounted deaths that took place several days or even weeks ago.
This is because of the time it takes for deaths to be confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19, for post-mortem examinations to be processed, and for data from the tests to be validated.
Another 151 people in the UK have died after testing positive for coronavirus, the Department of health has announced.
The country’s death toll now stands at 41,279 as of 5pm Wednesday, said health officials.
The figures include data from across all settings, including in hospitals and care homes.
NHS England said a further 83 people have died in hospitals across the country, including 10 in the North West.
As of 9am on June 11, there have been 6,240,801 tests, with 197,007 tests on June 10. The number of people who have tested positive is 291,409.
On June 11, the total figures for coronavirus related deaths at Lancashire hospitals currently stand at:
Blackpool teaching Hospitals NHS Trust – 210
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – 223
University Hospitals Of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust – 165
East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust – 194
Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust – 143
