Coronavirus figures for every area in Lancashire on Friday, June 12

Eight areas of Lancashire have recorded new coronavirus cases, according to Public Health England figures released today (June 12).

A total of 12 new cases were confirmed across Lancashire in the last 24 hours – a rise on the eight reported yesterday.

Blackpool posted the biggest rise with three while Wyre and Fylde rose by two.

No new cases were recorded in Hyndburn, Lancaster, Pendle, Ribble Valley, Rossendale and West Lancashire.

There are now 4,848 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Lancashire as a whole, but it is highly likely that cases where no symptoms have been shown are not included in this figure due to limited testing being done.

Confirmed cases of Covid-19by borough as of June 12:

  • Blackburn with Darwen – 417 (+1), 280 per 100,000
  • Blackpool – 671 (+3), 481.7 per 100,000 
  • Burnley – 197 (+1), 222.5 per 100,000 
  • Chorley – 356 (+1), 304.7 per 100,000 
  • Fylde – 275 (+2), 344.7 per 100,000 
  • Hyndburn – 153 (-), 189.3 per 100,000 
  • Lancaster – 805 (-), 558.1 per 100,000 
  • Pendle – 193 (-), 211.1 per 100,000 
  • Preston – 472 (+1), 332.8 per 100,000 
  • Ribble Valley – 103 (-), 171.5 per 100,000 
  • Rossendale – 177 (-), 249.7 per 100,000 
  • South Ribble – 268 (+1), 242.5 per 100,000 
  • West Lancs – 382 (-), 335.2 per 100,000 
  • Wyre – 379 (+2), 339 per 100,000

One coronavirus death has been recorded across Lancashire hospital trusts, according to today’s NHS figures.

The patient died at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals on May 13.

No deaths were recorded East Lancashire Hospitals, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, which manages Preston and Chorley hospitals, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals

It brings the Lancashire hospitals death toll to 936.
