Police hunt joyriding bikers causing problems all over Preston
Written by Skywave Radio News on June 13, 2020
An appeal has been launched to identify three youths seen joyriding on motorbikes and causing ‘nuisance’ in Preston.
Officers at Preston Neighbourhood Team have been busy in recent months cracking down on the ‘illegal activity’ which has escalated during lockdown.
LancsLive reported in April how joyriders were causing problems at Fishwick Golf Course with several quad bikes seized under section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002.
However neighbourhood officers said some people ‘still haven’t got the memo’ and are keen to identify the males in the picture to ‘pay them a visit’.
A spokesperson said: “We are continuing to target those individuals who are continually responsible for motorbike nuisance all over Preston, however once again we are hoping you can help us, as it seems some people still haven’t got the memo.
“We are sure the rider has a driving licence and will be able to produce the relevant insurance documents on request. Regardless, if you could help us to identify this person, we would love to pay them a visit and double check.
“If you have any information which could help us to identify any of the three people pictured below, please email email@example.com
“Likewise, if you have any videos, photographs or names of other people engaging in similar illegal activity, please get in touch and we will deal with this appropriately.
“Any information provided will be treated in confidence.”
