Coronavirus figures for every area in Lancashire on Sunday, June 14

Eight areas of Lancashire have recorded new coronavirus cases, according to Public Health England figures released today (June 14).

A total of 12 new cases were confirmed across Lancashire in the last 24 hours – a drop on the 18 reported yesterday.

Preston posted the biggest rise with three while Blackpool, Hyndburn and West Lancashire each rose by two.

No new cases were recorded in Burnley, Chorley, Lancaster, Pendle and Rossendale.

The number of cases in Fylde dropped by one, possible due to a resulting error.

There are now 4,878 cases of coronavirus confirmed in Lancashire as a whole, but it is highly likely that cases where no symptoms have been shown are not included in this figure due to limited testing being done.

Confirmed cases of Covid-19by borough as of June 14:

  • Blackburn with Darwen – 419 (+1), 281.3 per 100,000
  • Blackpool – 675 (+2), 484.5 per 100,000 
  • Burnley – 197 (-), 222.5 per 100,000 
  • Chorley – 359 (-), 307.3 per 100,000 
  • Fylde – 276 (-1), 347.2 per 100,000 
  • Hyndburn – 156 (+2), 193 per 100,000 
  • Lancaster – 805 (-), 558.1 per 100,000 
  • Pendle – 195 (-), 213.3 per 100,000 
  • Preston – 476 (+3), 335.6 per 100,000 
  • Ribble Valley – 105 (+1), 174.8 per 100,000 
  • Rossendale – 177 (-), 249.7 per 100,000 
  • South Ribble – 271 (+1), 245.2 per 100,000 
  • West Lancs – 387 (+2), 339.6 per 100,000 
  • Wyre – 380 (+1), 339 per 100,000

Two more coronavirus deaths were recorded across Lancashire hospital trusts, according to today’s NHS figures.

Both patients died at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals on June 12.

No deaths were recorded East Lancashire Hospitals, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals, which manages Preston and Chorley hospitals, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust and Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals

It brings the Lancashire hospitals death toll to 948.
