An anti-social behaviour crackdown is under way across South Ribble following a number of reports in the area.
Over the weekend, officers from Lancashire Police have increased their presence in the Longton and Penwortham areas trying to deter people from committing any kind of anti-social behaviour.
It comes after a number of incidents have been troubling local residents.
One notable place highlighted by officers has been the Brickcroft area of Longton, where officers have also visited the Brickcroft Nature Reserve on foot.
In a statement from Preston Police at around 10.30pm last night, a spokesperson said: “Team4IR tasking patrols have been out and about patrolling all the local hot spots today for anti-social behaviour.
“One of the identified areas that we have had numerous reports about is the Brickcroft area of Longton.
“We have been driving around the Longton area and the wider area of Penwortham to try and deter any individuals from committing anti-social behaviour which we are aware is causing issues for local residents.”
They added: “We have also been out on foot around the Brickcroft Nature Reserve to engage with the local community.
“We will continue to patrol in the area and respond to any incidents reported to us.
“Please stay safe and report any concerns to 101 or 999 in an emergency.
“You can also get in touch with your local South Ribble Neighbourhood Policing team via 101 or by reporting the incident online by searching for ‘Lancs Police Report Online’.”
