Road closed in Bamber Bridge after crash – updates

A major road in Bamber Bridge has been closed this morning due to a crash.
Station Road was closed in the village at its junction with School Lane following a crash involving a black Vauxhall Astra.
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary were on the scene as well as paramedics from North West Ambulance Service.
The incident happened at around 10.30am and was reported to LancsLive by a passerby in the village.
Local bus services were diverted.
One onlooker said: “RTC Station Road closed at junction with School lane Bamber Bridge police and ambulance in attendance.”
A number of members of the public have also gathered due to the commotion.
One LancsLive reporter at the scene of the crash said: “Witnesses said that the driver came out of one of the side roads before colliding with a parked car.”
“They added: “They said nobody was seriously injured but it looked like someone had a cut and potentially whiplash.”
The road was reopened by midday.
