An appeal is underway after an elderly man fell and suffered serious injuries on a bus.
The incident occurred at around 1.10pm on Thursday (June 18), when the man was on the number 9 bus on New Hall Lane in Preston, travelling in the direction of the city centre.
The man, aged in his 80s, was taken to hospital for treatment for a serious leg injury.
Police are now appealing for anyone who was on board the bus at the time and who saw what happened to come forward.
Sgt Lee Harris, of Lancashire Police’s Tac Ops team, said: “The number 9 bus was travelling towards Preston when this incident occurred, and we believe there were other passengers on board at the time.
“We are working hard to piece together exactly what occurred and would like to speak to anybody who saw the incident and has not yet been spoken to by police.”
Anybody with information is asked to get in touch on 101, quoting log number 716 of June 18.
