Woman summoned to appear at court

A woman has been summoned to appear at court after an incident outside a school in Upholland where several children were injured.
Police were called around 3.35pm on January 8 to reports a car had mounted the kerb outside Upholland High, injuring three school pupils. Fortunately they suffered only minor bruising and whiplash injuries.
A 40-year-old woman from Skelmersdale was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and assault and later bailed pending further enquiries.
Denise Gannon, 40, of Miners View, has been summoned to appear at court in connection with one offence of dangerous driving, one offence of child neglect and three offences of assault. She is due to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on August 27.
