Every power cut planned for Lancashire in the next week

Not every power cut is out of the blue, as some are planned by supplier Electricity North West.

See if your area is one of those affected on our round-up of homes in Lancashire between June 29 and July 2.

LancsLive has detailed each power cut individually, listing all affected postcodes.

Regarding the power outages, an Electricity North West spokesperson said: “We have planned power cuts so our engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to your property.”

Blackburn, June 29

Two customers on Whinney Lane will be affected on Monday, June 29.

Electricity North West said the outage is so engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to properties.

Postcodes affected will be: BB2 7EL

Preston, July 1

Four customers on Higher Lane will be without power on Wednesday, July 1

Electricity North West said the outage is so engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to properties.

Postcodes affected will be: PR3 1BE

Clitheroe, July 1

Two customers on Slaidburn Road will experience a power outage on Wednesday, July 1.

Electricity North West said the outage is so engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to properties.

Postcodes affected will be: BB7 3DL

Leyland, July 1

26 customers near Leyland Lane will be without power on Wednesday, July 1.

Electricity North West said the outage is so engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to properties.

Postcodes affected will be: PR7 6EY, PR7 6ES, PR5 3PH, PR26 8LB

Ormskirk, July 2

There will be no power for 10 customers on Thursday, July 2.

Customers in the Martin Mere area will be affected, and Electricity North West said work is being done to “improve reliability.”

Postcodes affected will be: L40 0TA, L40 0RP, L40 0RL

Preston, July 2

110 customers in Preston will be without power on Thursday, July 2.

This will predominantly affect customers off the A5085, and Electricity North West said the outage is so engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to properties.

Postcodes affected will be: PR2 1HH, PR2 1HD, PR2 1HA, PR2 1EY, PR2 1ET, PR2 1ES, PR2 1EL

40 customers near Barnacre village hall will also be affected, the postcodes being: PR3 1RJ, PR3 1QN, PR3 1QL, PR3 1GZ, PR3 1GP, PR3 1GN, PR3 1GL

Lancaster, July 2

61 customers will be without power on Thursday, July 2, which Electricity North West said is because of engineers being able to work safely on cables.

Customers near the Gregson Community Centre will be affected, with postcodes of: LA1 3QS, LA1 3QP, LA1 3QF, LA1 3QE, LA1 3QB, LA1 3QA, LA1 3PZ, LA1 3PY, LA1 3PX, LA1 3PU, LA1 3PT, LA1 3PS, LA1 3PR, LA1 3PP, LA1 3HA, LA1 3EH, LA1 3EF, LA1 3DL.
