Weapons, drugs and cash seized in Preston police raid
Written by Skywave Radio News on July 1, 2020
Police have seized a haul of weapons, cash and a ‘significant amount’ of class A drugs from a house in Preston.
Neighbourhood officers executed a warrant today (July 1) in the Ashton/Plungington of the city under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
It is the latest drugs raid to be carried out in the area after a notorious ‘drugs den’ was targeted last week.
Officers said the latest raid happened after information from the local community.
No details of any arrests have been released.
A picture of the haul released by police appears to show a knuckleduster along with various bags of drugs and plastic wrap bags.
A force spokesperson said: “Preston NPT TaskForce have today executed a Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at an address in the Ashton/Plungington area of Preston.
“A significant amount of Class A drugs have been recovered as well as cash and weapons.
“This warrant comes again as a result of information from you the community.
“We thank you again for all your support, we couldn’t do it without you.
“If you wish to pass on any information, please email the Task Force team on NPT-Taskforce@lancashire.pnn.police.uk”
