All the planned power cuts for Lancashire this week by postcode

Written by on July 5, 2020

Electricity North West, which supplies electricity across the county of Lancashire, often has to plan power cuts so engineers can work on cables which provide power to our homes and businesses.

Across Lancashire, over 390 homes and businesses will be without electricity between now and Friday.

Here, LancsLive has detailed each power cut individually, listing all affected postcodes, so they don’t take you by surprise.

Regarding the power outages, an Electricity North West spokesperson said: “We have planned power cuts so our engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to your property.”

These are all the planned power cuts set for Lancashire as of Sunday afternoon (July 5):

Burnley, July 5

26 customers around the area of Empire Business Park in Burnley will be without power for a time on Sunday, July 5.

“We’ve temporarily interrupted your electricity supply to improve its reliability,” said Electricity North West.

“We have planned power cuts so our engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to your property.”

The affected postcode is BB12 6LT.

Darwen, July 5

On the border between Blackburn and Darwen, 11 customers will be without power.

Businesses close to Blackburn with Darwen Services will be affected by the powercut, which Electricity North West says is needed to improve the reliability of the power supply in the area.

Postcodes affected are BB3 0FE and BB3 0DB.
