Pedestrian dies after late night crash in Lancashire

A pedestrian has died after being involved in a late night crash in Kirkham.
The incident took place in the Fylde town late night last (July 4), with Station Road closed to traffic at around 10.30pm.
The closure was at the junctions of Mellor Road to Garstang Road.
It is understood just one car was involved in the collision, with Station Road closed for six hours hours.
Police have since confirmed the victim is a 19-year-old man.
At around 10.30pm on Saturday, a Lancashire Police spokesperson said: “Road closure in the Kirkham area, on Station Road at the junctions of Mellor Road to Garstang Road following a Road Traffic Collision.
“The road will likely be closed for some time and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
“Emergency services are currently responding at the scene and we will update you once the road has been reopened.”
