The most dangerous places in Preston according to latest crime stats

Nearly 2000 crimes have been recorded in Preston during May – the latest figures that are available.
All the figures are available on the Police.UK website and show the latest crime figures for each neighbourhood and policing area, as well as the type of crimes recorded.
The data shows more crime in Bamber Bridge and Walton le Dale than anywhere else, while the safest area was around the University of Central Lancashire.
In total, 1,961 crimes were recorded in Preston altogether.

Here is the breakdown of crimes in Preston for the month of May 2020.
Ashton and Docks

147 crimes were reported in September 2019.
The most commonly reported was anti-social behaviour with 91 offences.
Violent and sexual offences were reported 33 times in the month.
Figures show there were 13 ‘other thefts’, and 10 criminal damage and arson offences.
Avenham & Frenchwood

Avenham & Frenchwood had 145 crimes reported in the neighbourhood.
The highest reported crime was anti-social offences at 98.
Next on the list was violence and sexual offences at 34.
There were 13 criminal damage and arson offences, while burglaries were recorded 9 times.
Bamber Bridge North/East/West and Walton le Dale

213 crimes were reported in this area.
The most common antisocial behaviour recorded a staggering 140 times.
Next up was violent and sexual crimes with 50 offences.
Criminal damage and arson was also high at 12, followed by burglary at 11.
Broadgate

There were 101 crimes recorded in Broadgate.
The highest reported crime was anti-social behaviour at 71.
Violence and sexual offences was reported 15 times.
There were also 9 incidents of pubic order and 6 incidents of criminal damage and arson.
Cadley, Greyfriars & Tulketh

The policing neighbourhood team recorded 130 crimes in this area.
92 were incidents of anti-social behaviour, the highest on the list.
Violence and sexual offences were recorded 25 times.
There were 8 burglaries and 5 incidents of criminal damage and arson.
College & Moorpark

As many as 74 crimes were reported here.
48 of these were antisocial behaviour.
15 crimes were violence and sexual offences.
This was followed by 6 incidents of criminal damage and arson, and five ‘other thefts’.
Deepdale

Police recorded 82 crimes in Deepdale.
Anti-social behaviour was the highest at 53 and violence and sexual offences was at 12.
There were 11 reported ‘other thefts’.
Shoplifting was recorded six times.
Ingol and Tanterton

A total of 104 crimes were recorded in this area.
The most common was anti-social behaviour at 69.
Violence and sexual offences were recorded 23 times.
There were also 6 burglaries and 6 incidents of criminal damage and arson.
Larches & Savick

Figures revealed that there were 102 crimes in Larches and Savick.
A staggering 73 incidents were anti-social behaviour.
We also saw 18 violence and sexual offences and 6 public order crimes.
There were also 5 criminal damage and arson offences.
Lea & Cottam

Lea and Cottam had 48 crimes recorded.
Anti-social behaviour was the most recorded at 33.
Violence and sexual offences were at 12 and there were two vehicle crimes.
One burglary was also reported.
Lostock Hall, Tardygate & Charnock

A total of 88 crimes were recorded.
The highest was anti-social behaviour at 59 with violence and sexual offences close behind at 21.
‘Other thefts’ were recorded 5 times while criminal damage and arson was recorded 3 times.
Moor Nook

We saw 37 crimes recorded here.
Anti-social behaviour was highest at 26.
Violence and sexual offences were recorded 8 times while other thefts were recorded 2 times.
There was also one burglary.
Preston City Centre

A staggering 129 crimes happened here.
Anti-social behaviour was recorded 75 times.
Violence and sexual offences was up to 25 and there were 17 incidents of public order.
We also saw 12 incidents of shoplifting.
Plungington

A total of 135 crimes were recorded here.
Anti-social behaviour was recorded 77 times and violence and sexual offences were recorded 36 times.
Criminal damage and arson was at 12, while there were 10 ‘other thefts’.
Sharoe Green

Sharoe Green has 61 recorded crimes.
The highest was anti-social behaviour at 30 offences.
Violence and sexual offences were recorded 18 times.
Criminal damage and arson was at 7.
There were also 6 incidents of public order.
St Georges

A total of 136 crimes happened here.
Anti-social behaviour was up to 48, while there were 38 reports of violence and sexual offences.
Criminal damage and arson was reported at 10 times, as was ‘other thefts’.
St Matthews

193 crimes were recorded in St Matthews.
This included 96 reports of anti-social behaviour and 76 incidents of violence and sexual offences.
We also saw 11 incidents of public order.
Along with this, there were 10 ‘other thefts’ recorded.
University (Preston)

36 crimes took place here.
The most commonly reported was antisocial behaviour at 21.
There were also 8 violence and sexual offences.
Shoplifting was recorded 4 times and public order was up to 3.
