The independent Lancs restaurants where you can get 50% off food

Written by on July 16, 2020

Many of us have not been able to enjoy the experience of dining out since the country went into lockdown back in March.

But shortly after restrictions eased on July 4, Chancellor Rishi Sunak announced a new plan as part of the summer budget to help restaurants get back on their feet and bring customers in.

Customers will soon get 50% off their meals in participating restaurants at a maximum of £10 per head in the Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

Foodies can enjoy the discount on food or non-alcoholic drinks to eat or drink in.

It will be available every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from August 3 to 31 in participating eateries.

The scheme is designed to support the UK’s 130,000 hospitality businesses which between them employ around 1.8 million people.

The eateries take the discount from the customer’s bill, then reclaim the discounted amount from the Government.

A number of chains, including Burger King, Wagamama, Pizza Hut, Harvester and more have signed up to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, but we want to show you the local restaurants and independent chains you can visit to support the economy in your area and enjoy a delicious meal.
