We are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with significant head injuries following a serious assault.
Officers were called to an address on Lytham Road, Blackpool, following the incident close to the junction of Lytham Road and Bournemouth Road, just before 7pm yesterday (July 18) where a man was knocked unconscious in the street.
The victim, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
Detectives are now working to establish the full circumstances of how he came about his injuries and are appealing for anybody with information to come forward.
PC Matt Duffy, of West CID, said: “A man has received significant injuries and we are investigating how he came about them. I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened to contact the police. I would also ask anybody with dashcam or CCTV footage covering the area in and around that time to get in touch as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101, quoting log 1310 of July 18, 2020. Alternatively, call independent charity Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555111.
