All the Lancashire areas facing planned power cuts this week

Electricity North West supplies electricity across the county of Lancashire, and for safety purposes have to interrupt the power supply to improve its reliability.
By planning power cuts, engineers can work on cables which provide power to our homes and businesses.
Across Lancashire, more than 480 homes and businesses will be without electricity for a time between now and Saturday, August 8.
Here, LancsLive has individually detailed each power cut listing all affected postcodes, so they don’t take you by surprise.
An Electricity North West spokesperson said of the outages: “We have planned power cuts so our engineers can safely work on the cables that provide power to your property.”
These are all the planned power cuts set for Lancashire as of Sunday afternoon (August 2).
Preston, August 2
174 homes and businesses close to the Ashton Park area will be without power for a time on Sunday, August 2nd.
The postcodes that will be affected by the temporary outage are PR2 1SJ, PR2 1JU, PR2 1JR, PR2 1JA, PR2 1J, PR2 1HY, PR2 1HR, PR2 1HN, PR2 1HL, PR2 1HJ, PR2 1HH, PR2 1HE, PR2 1HB, PR2 1EY, PR2 1ES, PR2 1EQ, PR2 1DY, and PR2 1AF.
“We will get your supply back on as soon as we have finished our work,” Electricity North West said.
Carnforth, August 3
Eight properties will face temporary power cuts off the B6384 in Whassett close to Carnforth.
The single postcode affected will be LA6 1RJ.
Preston, August 3
72 customers will be without power for a time on Monday 3rd August.
The homes and businesses affected will be in the Avenham Lane area close to the city centre.
Postcodes that should expect a blip in their supplies are PR1 3UQ, PR1 3SE, and PR1 3RS.
Euxton, August 4
27 properties will face power outages in the Euxton area close to Chorley on the 4th August.
Affected properties include those off Dawber’s Lane and Runshaw Lane.
The postcodes to expect a temporary power cut are PR7 6EX, PR7 6EU, PR7 6EQ, PR7 6EH, PR7 6EG, PR7 6DZ, and PR7 6AX.
Preston, August 4
101 homes and businesses should expect temporary power cuts in the New Longton area on the outskirts of Preston, on 4th August.
The outage is essential to improve the reliability of the electricity supply, according to Electricity North West.
Affected postcodes are PR4 4XB, PR4 4LU, PR4 4LB, PR4 4JX, PR4 4JU, PR4 4JT, PR4 4JS, PR4 4JR, PR4 4JQ, and PR4 4JE.
Burnley, August 5
Four customers will face temporary power outages in the Fence area close to Burnley on Wednesday, 5th August.
Homes affected include those on Cuckstool Lane.
The postcodes affected by the incident are BB12 9PA, and BB12 9DX.
Skelmsersdale, August 5
Ten homes and businesses will see an interruption in their electricity supply in Bickerstaffe just outside of Skelmersdale on Wednesday 5th August.
The affected postcodes for this incident are L39 0HX, L39 0HW, and L39 0HL.
Garstang, August 6
52 properties will face power cuts in Catterall near Garstang, on Thursday 6th August.
Customers affected by this incident include those on Stubbins Lane and Garstang Road.
The postcodes to expect a temporary power cut are PR3 0QH, PR3 0PZ, PR3 0PU, PR3 0PL, PR3 0PH, and PR3 0GA.
Lancaster, August 6
Three customers will be without power for a time on 6th August, in an area which has been listed as ‘Lancaster’ but will be known by locals as the Hollins Lane / Bay Horse area.
The affected homes are on either side of the M6 close to Moto Lancaster services.
The postcodes affected by this incident are PR3 1DE and LA2 9DF.
Chorley, August 6
Three homes will face temporary power cuts near Chorley on 6th August.
All are in the postcode PR7 1PA, close to the River Yarrow.
Carnforth, August 7
Eight homes will be affected by this power cut.
All are in the postcode LA6 1RJ
Colne, August 7
The following postcodes are included: BB8 9TB, BB8 7LZ, BB8 7LQ, BB8 7LN, BB8 7LJ, BB8 7LH, BB8 7JW
37 customers will be affected by this.
